Dear Parents and guardians, my name is Chelsa Morris. I am originally from Nova Scotia. After graduating from high school I went to Saint Francis Xavier University, and completed a Bachelor of arts with a major in Sociology and minor in Psychology. From there I went to the University of Maine at Fort Kent and graduated with a Bachelor of Education. While in the Education program I was on the deans list and also awarded the the Joan T. Sylvain Award which honors an outstanding education student who is working on a second degree. A month after completing my practicum I began my first teaching job in two beautiful communities located in Northern Manitoba where I taught a grades 1 and 2 and was certified as a reading recovery teacher. I moved to Fort McMurray nine years ago to be closer to family and absolutely love being a part of this strong and vibrant community as well as working at Timberlea Public school.
